It certainly does appear that you have to sign up as a MS Partner for this download. Would I be able to sign up for this, or is this limited to certain types of companies? This site seems to indicate that only Microsoft Partner Network members can download the OEM preinstall kit. Granted, I haven't tried it myself, but it works for system builders, why wouldn't it work the same for you? Note: Make sure when you install office before you image to un-check the box to active the product (On the screen that you type in the product key). When the image boots on the new computer for the first time when you open office it will prompt for a new key. Then you can edit out the product key information from registry in the image.įor 64-bit the key is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Registration all you need to do is delete the whole "Registration" key or rename it to "Registration.old" I just renamed mine.įor 32-bit the key is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Registration

You would need at least 1 volume license as Justin said. However this would work somewhat like windows does.

I actually just got done creating some images. This would only be possible if you were using a volume license version
